Quote to self, Mr. Sim Ti is one weird dad...Let me explain why...

Me : *shows a piece of paper* Pa...I wanna celebrate (my bday) in Red Box.

Dad : *looks at it* Which one?

Me : The 10 person one (It costs RM328 ++)

Dad : You invite so little, I'm not going to let you celebrate *scolds* You call this celebrating? You don't waste my money. You better invite 20 or 30 people.

Me : huh (stunned) okay...I thought of not wasting your money ma...so I wanted to invite close friends only.

Dad : Why must it be at Karaoke? All the bad people...

Me : where got bad people...

Dad : Go celebrate somewhere else

Me : Okay...where?

Dad : You go find out yourself! Don't disturb me.

Me : Aiyo..I dunno la..

I think I hang out with my mum too much because she's the more "kiam siap" one which makes me forget that my dad is so unlike her. Because before I told my dad about my bday plans, I told my mum first...

Me : mummy, I wanna celebrate in Red Box. *shows paper*

Mum : How many people are you gonna invite? You give me a list of people first. (She's being overprotective)

Me : How am I supposed to know...I wanna know which package to take first.

Mum : You better don't invite Weng Seng. (sigh...she sort of found out about weng seng...long story)

Me : *changes subject* Which package??

Mum : invite 10 people can edi. Don't ask me to pay, go ask your father. (oh my goodness...I think teochews are kiam siap, rite? thank god my dad's a hokkien)

So where should I celebrate?! Any ideas? Anyone?

Ok, my dad just came in and suggested I have it at some hotel or restaurant. The way he says it is like a scolding but I know he actually cares, if not he wouldn't even bother. =) wish he would scold less though. =P
